To add a product to your cart via the LinkU Shopping cart is easy.
Important: It is important that your cart has been configured before adding products to the store. Such as categories, or sub-categories if needed, as well as shipping settings. In most cases this would have been setup when we setup your cart.
Assuming your cart is configured and ready to go, then simply do the following:
What's Next? Now that you have added the product, you will have the ability to enter additional details for the product, such as photos, shipping costs and option items, including size, upgrades, etc.
After you saved your item, scroll down. You will now see icons for Product Options, Photos and Shipping. Click on the icon to view or manage those options.
Shipping
Depending on your shipping settings, you may need to enter the cost for shipping your products here. If you are using Automatic shipping or flat fee shipping, then leave these blank or at 0. It is REQUIRED to enter a weight if you are using Automatic Shipping caluclations.
Photos
You can upload up to 10 photos for your product. Click on the PLUS sign to add a photo. After you upload all your photos, make sure to click Save Changes.
Product Options
Important! Make sure to save any changes to your product, shipping, or photos before clicking into product options.
Add product options, such as sizes, upgrades, types, e.t.c. for your store products. You can only have one product option in which you can track quantity in stock. For example, for a clothing store, you would not add 'Size' and 'Color', because more likely you have a limited quantity of each one. For this situation, it is recommended you add each color as an individual item. If you do not have a limited quantity of a product option, then this rule would not apply.
To add a product option, click Add New Product Option.
Enter an Option Description Name (ex: Size)
Is the option active? Select, yes or no.
Is this a required selection? Select Yes or No. Usually options like size or color are required options.
If you want to track stock for this option item, select Yes, (This option will not appear if you are already tracking stock for another option).
You can enter up to 10 product options. If you need more, you made want to add additional products. For example, add each color as a seperate product, where each product has x number of sizes.
Enter the option description (for example, if Size, then you would enter things like "Small", "Medium" and "Large".
Enter the sort order, which order the options will be displayed.
Enter any additional cost the item may have, in addition to the base product price.
If you want to track stock for this option item, enter a stock count.
Once done, click Save Option.
