This article explains the initial configuration of the shopping cart.
Login to the control panel.
Click Online Store.
Click Store Settings.
Enter a name for the Store.
Optionally, enter a store slogan or tag line.
Enter the e-mail address that will be used for store e-mail alerts and customer service. The e-mail in the profile may also be used for certain items as well.
Enter a minimum order amount, usually 0.
Turn the store menu ON, unless client asks for it to be turned off.
Turn the Default Navigation Menus ON, unless client asks for it to be turned off.
The Store Home URL, is the link where the home button in the cart would take you. Leave it blank to go to the default location, which is the list of categories.
Leave Main Store URL blank unless needed otherwise.
Leave Main Store URL blank unless needed otherwise, such as if the client had their own SSL certificate.
Select 4 products per row, unless design looks better with different setting.
Selet the desired category layour, or leave as default.
Select the image product size. This is important, because once you set it, if you change it in the future, it will only affect new images and all previously uploaded images would need to be deleted from the products and re-added.
DO NOT click to Get HTML yet, skip this for now, we need to save the settings first.
Select a table and table header color for the store.
Click to Save Settings.
If the site does not have its own SSL certification, you need to perform a design integration for our SSL server. Click on Get HTML, (assuming the design is ready to go), then click Next. The HTML feature grabs the web site header and footer to use on our SSL server, so the look and feel matches. Each time the look and feel is updated, or the navigation menu is changed, you may need to redo the design integration.
Click to Save Changes.
